Welcome to CraigBannerman.com, the official home of Craig Bannerman—Christian metal musician, songwriter, and composer. This site is where you’ll find my latest music, videos, and updates as I continue to create and release music that proclaims truth, confronts deception, and glorifies Christ.

If you’ve searched for my name or discovered my music through word of mouth, a review, or a social media post, I’m glad you’re here. My hope is that through this website, my music, and the message behind it, you will be encouraged, challenged, and strengthened in faith.

Who Is Craig Bannerman?

I am a Christian metal artist dedicated to using heavy music as a weapon of truth. My music is a battle cry, a proclamation of victory, and a testimony of faith. It speaks of spiritual warfare, the cost of discipleship, and the ultimate triumph of Christ over darkness.

Unlike mainstream metal, which often glorifies rebellion or despair, my music stands against the tide. It exposes deception, warns of the unseen war, and calls listeners to surrender to Christ. Each song is crafted with deep conviction, scriptural truth, and unrelenting intensity.

My Music: Christian Metal That Proclaims Truth

From heavy, crushing riffs to soaring, emotional melodies, every track I write is driven by purpose. I do not create music for entertainment alone—this is a spiritual calling.

Key Releases:

🎵 How Long O Lord? – Psalm 13. A cry from the depths of spiritual anguish, where silence feels endless and sorrow presses daily upon the heart.
Blending relentless intensity with moments of stillness, this piece walks the line between despair and trust.
It does not resolve in emotional release, but in quiet submission: “But I have trusted in Thy mercy.”

🎵 Naked Came I? . A full-length descent through suffering, endurance, judgment, and the revelation of God.
Drawn from the scripture, this album moves through darkness, loss, and unanswered questions before arriving at the light of Christ that no darkness can overcome.
Layered with Scripture, classical imagery, and symbolic visuals, it is not merely heard—but walked through.

🎵 The Sorrow of Dead Men? – Revelation 18. A visual and sonic meditation on Babylon—the system of the world—and its fall. This is not the sorrow of repentance, but of loss. The sorrow of those who loved the world and watched it collapse. A warning and a call: “Come out of her, my people…”.

🎵 Though He Slay Me? – Job 13:15. A meditation on faith that endures when everything is stripped away.
This piece does not rush to comfort—it allows grief, confusion, and silence to speak.
Through chaos and lament, it arrives at a place beyond understanding: “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.”

🎵 Be of Good Cheer? – John 15:18–19 / John 16:33. A reflection on the hatred of the world toward those chosen out of it, and the peace found only in Christ.
Tracing the suffering of God’s people across time, this work holds tension between tribulation and victory:
“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

🎵 My God, My God, Why? – Psalm 22 / Matthew 27:46. A descent into the three hours of darkness where Love bore the full weight of sin. Thunderous and sorrow-filled, this piece traces the cry of abandonment on the Cross—the fracture between innocence and wrath—and ends in the stillness of redemption.
It remembers the cost, the blood, and the mercy that silenced every accusation: He who knew no sin was made sin for us.

🎵 I Am the Resurrection and the LifeJohn 11:25–26. Born through breathlessness and sorrow, this song drags listeners face-to-face with death before breaking open with the resurrection riff: the promise of eternal life in Christ.

🎵 Babylon the Great Is FallenRevelation 18:2 brought to life. A prophetic unveiling of the idols and empires of man, contrasted by the Cross that alone stands when Babylon falls.

🎵 The Second Death – A dirge from Revelation 20:14. A visual and sonic warning of eternal judgment — the lake of fire, the fate of the unrepentant, and the hope of escape through Christ.

🎵 Chains of Darkness – A lament of the fallen angels 2 Peter 2:4–9, weaving Gustave Doré’s engravings with crushing orchestration. A sorrowful reminder of rebellion, judgment, and God’s power to deliver the godly.

🎵 That They All May Be OneJohn 17:21 set to sound and image. Christ’s prayer for unity in His Bride, calling the remnant to return to first love — not man-made ecumenism, but Spirit-born oneness through surrender and love.

🎵 His Face Did Shine As the Sun – An orchestral worship soundtrack in reverence of the Transfiguration Matthew 17:5. A sacred journey through Christ’s Passion — from Gethsemane, to the Cross, to the Ascension — revealing the brilliance of the Son’s face.

🎵 Hardness of HeartsMatthew 19:8; Genesis 2:24. An intercessory Christian House lament—electronic textures and Laurie vocals carry a prayer for fractured love to be healed: “From the beginning, it was not so.”

🎵 Rachel’s Sorrow – A Spirit-breathed lament echoing Matthew 2:18. This trance-based work mourns the lost, the unborn, and the daughters led astray. With haunting melodies and cinematic imagery, it weeps with Rachel—uncomforted—and calls the listener to remember innocence, repent, and return before it’s too late.

🎵 Blessed Are – A raw and prophetic rendering of the Beatitudes Luke 6:20–26 & Matthew 5:2–12. With piercing imagery and sorrowful beauty, it declares God’s blessing upon the poor, the mourning, the meek, and the persecuted—while warning the rich, the full, and those praised by men.

🎵 DAIMONION – A prophetic cry into the darkness, based on Matthew 12:43–45. This song confronts spiritual torment, sorrow, and judgment with crushing riffs and haunting choirs of mother and child.

🎵 Thief on a Cross – A cinematic and metal-driven retelling of the crucifixion, weaving in the six days of creation and culminating with the promise of paradise. Based on Luke 23:43

🎵 Unto The Death – Inspired by Revelation 12:11, this song is a battle anthem of faith and martyrdom. It declares victory through Christ and honors those who overcame by the blood of the Lamb.
🎵 Ha-Satan – The Covering Cherub’s Judgment – This song explores Satan’s fall and final judgment (Revelation 20:10). It is an intense, crushing composition proclaiming his defeat.
🎵 A Hopeful Requiem – A song of hope and resurrection, inspired by 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, reminding us that the grave is not the end.
🎵 For God So Loved – A powerful metal declaration of God’s love through Christ, based on John 3:16.

These songs are more than just music—they are messages. They carry weight. They call the lost to repentance and belief in The Truth who is Jesus Christ, strengthen the faithful, and pierce through the deception that blinds the world.

What The World is Saying About My Music

I am humbled to see my music impact lives and receive recognition from various platforms. Below are some of the latest coverage.

📝 Lelahel Metal - “Naked Came I”
🔥 Naked Came I is undeniably original. I have rarely heard something that merges devotion and extremity in such a singular way. There is immense potential here. Well played.

📝 Eternal Flames - “Naked Came I”
🔥 "Black Metal Worship in an Age of Spiritual Anxiety
Another chapter in the same line: faith, exposure, and the extreme language of prayer.

📝 vaultlab.it - “Be of good cheer”
🔥 Be of Good Cheer occupies a space rarely explored with such coherence: that of unblack metal , which neither renounces sonic ferocity nor the clarity of its spiritual message. Craig Bannerman constructs the song as a true narrative and theological journey , directly inspired by the Scriptures (John 15:18–19 and John 16:33), transforming them into living, pulsating musical material.

The opening is harsh and violent, dominated by tight tremolo picking , blast beats, and a typically black metal wall of sound. Here, the music doesn't soften anything: the chaos, hostility, and weight of the world are conveyed through a raw, almost suffocating soundscape. It's a powerful representation of the tribulation, hatred, and rift between the believer and a world that rejects the message they bring.

Gradually, however, the song expands. Orchestral choirs , harmonic layers, and an increasingly pronounced sense of cinematic breadth enter. The production—especially in the Spotify version, as the artist rightly suggests—maintains a remarkable balance between aggressiveness and intelligibility, allowing the dynamics to breathe without flattening the emotional impact. It's not just power: it's control of the crescendo .

The true strength of Be of Good Cheer lies in its final transformation . After navigating tension and violence, the song opens with a melodic ascent that leads to an epilogue of peace and triumph. It is not a surrender, but a silent and solemn victory, where the initial fury is transfigured into affirmation and hope. Musically, this transition is rendered with great sensitivity: the melodic lines relax, the choruses take on an almost liturgical role, and the atmosphere is charged with an unexpected light.

Thematically, the message is direct but never banal: the world brings hatred and suffering, but Christ has already won . Bannerman doesn't preach, but bears witness, using the extreme language of black metal as a means of expression rather than as provocation for its own sake. In this sense, Be of Good Cheer functions both as a piece of music and as an act of artistic faith.

In the contemporary metal landscape, often torn between nihilism and pure entertainment, this piece stands out for its integrity, emotional intensity, and vision . It's a heavy, spiritually charged composition, designed not just to be listened to, but to be experienced. A song that can offer strength and courage to those in need, without ever denying the harshness of the path it describes.
